Volunteer with Oliver Gospel’s Roastery at the South Carolina State Fair!
The Roastery is returning to the South Carolina State Fair, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join us for our 4th annual coffee booth! Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or this is your first time serving with us, we’d love to have you on the team.

What Will You Do?
Volunteers will work alongside Oliver Gospel staff to:
- Welcome and greet State Fair guests
- Help serve and prepare coffee drinks
- Keep the booth clean, organized, and welcoming
- Answer basic questions and help create a positive experience for customers
- Share the story and mission of Oliver Gospel with fair guests
No coffee or volunteer experience? No problem! Our staff will provide training and everything you need to know when you arrive for your shift.
Eligibility
- Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.
- Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older, as required by the South Carolina State Fair policies.

Where is the booth, and where do I park?
The Oliver Gospel Roastery booth is located inside the Moore Building near the Rocket.
Prior to your shift, you will receive an email with information about where to park, how to enter the fairgrounds/building, and other arrival details.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable, modest clothing that allows you to move easily while maintaining a respectful appearance.
For safety and professionalism, we kindly ask volunteers not to wear:
- Sweatpants
- Spaghetti-strap tops
- Low-cut tops
- Crop tops
- Short shorts or skirts
- Open-toed shoes
- Headphones
If you have long hair, please tie it back before handling beverages.
Will I receive free admission to the State Fair?
Yes! Volunteers will receive free fair entry to enjoy before or after their volunteer shift. We hope you’ll take some time to enjoy the fair and celebrate after serving with us!
What if I need to cancel my shift?
We understand that things come up. If you’re unable to attend your scheduled shift, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make adjustments to our volunteer schedule.
