Thrift Store Volunteer

Help us out at the Thrift Store by processing goods, organizing and restocking the sales floor, grounds beautification, cleaning, etc. We can't wait to see you there!

Volunteer Requirements:

• Must be 15 years and older to volunteer. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Maximum of 4-10 volunteers per shift.
• Groups are accepted (up to 10 people)--all group members must sign up under the team's name
• Volunteers are asked to maintain modest and respectful dress attire while serving
  • No sweats, spaghetti strap tops, low-cut tops, crop-tops, short shorts, or skirts, torn clothing, or open-toed shoes

Where do I park?

Please park in the back parking lot behind the Thrift Store. You may access this lot by going to the side of the Thrift Store, like you are donating items. You will see a lot in the back there.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move around in but still remain modest and respectful. No sweats, spaghetti strap tops, low-cut tops, crop-tops, short shorts, skirts, or open-toed shoes. Please no headphones while working.

What will I be doing?

Volunteers help process the goods that are donated to the Thrift Store. There will be guidelines for how to do this and staff around to help you. You may also be helping organize and stock the sales floor or help with grounds beautification. We ask that you listen to the staff as they know what is best needed during your shift. This allows us to be able to better serve our purpose in the community.

How do I log my hours?

ALL volunteers must clock-in/out. The check-in station is located in the break room. Please clock in and out on the tablet there. If the tablet is down then please sign in on the sheet. You can also download the CauseConnect app to log your hours. Your hours will then be shown in your profile. 

I have not received a confirmation email.

Emails come from "volunteer@olivergospel.org" and tend to go to spam/junk folders. Please check for these emails, you should receive a confirmation email of signing up and a reminder about your shift.
